I want to thank you and everyone at Sunshine Christian Home for the care and kindness you have shown to my Dad and me for the past three years.  You have been so wonderful at trying to meet our needs while maintaining the care and safety guidelines you have in place for your residents.  I couldn't have asked for a better place for my Dad to live while I was living in Port Richey.  I've had great peace of mind knowing he was in such a pleasant, clean and well run "home".

I want to take this opportunity to share with you and your staff our deep felt appreciation for the outstanding care and compassion extended by all staff in the care provided my step-mother, Martha Smith, over the past three years.

When Martha came to your facility she was extremely apprehensive in leaving her home. But within a short period of time, with your patience and understanding, Martha began to feel right at home and never mentioned returning to her own home. The staff’s ongoing commitment and exceptional patient care made for a smooth transition. We knew very early, in her residency, that we had selected an outstanding facility that provides a safe and secure environment. This same attitude which was demonstrated with Martha also was displayed with Marge and me. Throughout the three year period Marge and I always felt comfortable in sharing our feelings and concerns around Martha’s care. Without exception decisions were always based on what was best for Marta and us.

We were most impressed with care and commitment demonstrated by your entire staff and their delivery of exceptional patient care. We trust you will share our feelings with all of them.

In closing, again we cannot thank you enough for all you did for Martha and us.  You enhanced the final years of her life which we will always be eternally grateful. It was a blessing from God that we had this time with you and your staff.

Sincerely,

Larry and Marge Smith

Why I Love Sunshine

By Nancy Butler, Resident

During my 10 years at Sunshine Christian Homes I have learned to love Sunshine because it is the "Best of the Best" home for me!  I feel loved, protected, and cared for here by its staff!  All the employees go the extra mile to make certain I'm healthy, ok, safe and happy.  Kate and Joan talk with the residents every day.  Undergirding Sunshine are the many prayers of the Prayer Group I started in 2008.  Betty Peck is the leader now.  They pray for all the staff and residents.

3 years ago, I got Parkinson and needed Physical Therapy.  I love my Therapist, Kirstin, who helps me a lot and is excellent.  Also, my Home Health nurse, Dee Jaye is such a blessing to me this last year.  I've had 30 falls.

I’ve made many new friends thru my poetry.  Everyone says I write just how they feel.  One of my poems was read over the radio in July, 2017.  The station had 30 million listeners.  I heard it, what a thrill that was.

I send my love to Diane Toland, CEO and former Director who rented me my room 59, 10 years ago.  She is a great Lady.  Thank you Diane.

I send my love to Katherine Denote, my best friend, who introduced me to Sunshine 10 years ago.  Thank you Katherine.

God Bless Sunshine Christian Homes.
